Currency Creek was first explored when Captain
Charles Sturt travelled down the Murray River in 1829 and 1830
and made his last campsite near the town of Goolwa, located
in South Australia.
In 1837 Currency Creek was officially named and in 1840 an elaborate
town plan for Currency Creek was laid out.
One of the more recently declared wine regions in Australia,
our wine varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Shiraz and Chardonnay.
